The Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards are held annually to celebrate and showcase the outstanding work in visual effects artistry in film, TV, gaming, and commercials over the past 12 months.
It honors the VFC producers, supervisors, and artists who work hard to bring their creative work to the small or big screen.
Many of the biggest movies and TV shows of the year have received at least one nomination, such as Inside Out 2, Masters of the Air, Wicked, Moana 2, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and many more.

The 23rd Annual VES Awards Gala is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The prestigious ceremony will be hosted at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California, USA.

What Films Have Received the Most Nominations?
Dune: Part Two leads the film categories at the VES Awards 2025, as it has received seven nominations.
Also, The Wild Robot received the most nominations in the animated film categories, earning five nominations.
What TV Shows Have Received the Most Nominations?
The Penguin and Shōgun received the most nominations in the TV categories, earning four each.
Who Will Receive the Honorary Awards This Year?
Dr. Jacquelyn Ford Morie, a virtual reality and immersive technology pioneer, will be the proud recipient of the Georges Méliès Award this year.
Hiroyuki Sanada, a Shōgun actor and producer, will be presented with the VES Award for Creative Excellence at the ceremony.
Also, Takashi Yamazaki, an Academy Award-winning director, will accept the VES Visionary Award.
