The Traitors Australia is a reality TV competition series based on the Dutch series De Verraders.
If you haven’t watched it, a group of contestants will arrive in a stunning castle before a small number of players are chosen as the Traitors (typically three people), and the remaining players are designated as Faithfuls.
The Faithful must then find the Traitors in the group while convincing others they can be trusted. The Traitors must, however, find ways to cast doubt over the Faithfuls’ identities while killing and banishing players in the hope of winning the prize fund.
While the format has proven a major hit internationally, especially the UK and US versions, the first two seasons of The Traitors Australia struggled for ratings on Network 10, leading to its cancellation.
However, the international buzz surrounding the show, including the first two Australian seasons, has led to its revival.
Network 10 recently confirmed season three of The Traitors Australia will return with an all-star cast, and it is expected to arrive on the channel in mid-2026. Keep a look out for an official release date in the near future.
The Cast
The all-star edition of The Traitors Australia will feature a mix of contestants from some of the biggest reality TV shows in the country, including The Block, Married at First Sight Australia, The Real Housewives of Sydney, and Australian Idol.
Network 10 recently confirmed the following famous faces have joined the third season:
- Cam Merchant – Married at First Sight star
- Henry Nicholson – Australian Survivor contestant
- Tully Smyth – Big Brother contestant
- Ian “Dicko” Dickson – an Australian Idol judge
- Shane Gould – Olympian and Australian Survivor contestant

- Alvin Quah – MasterChef Australia contestant
- Keira Maguire – The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise star

The New Host
While Rodger Corser was a popular choice as host for the first two seasons of The Traitors Australia, it was recently announced he will not return for the third season.
His absence is likely due to the show’s refreshed format following its cancellation and Corser moving to rival network Channel Nine to host the new quiz show The Floor.
Network 10 recently announced that Gretel Killeen will serve as the host of The Traitors Australia (All-Stars), helping breathe new life into the revived series.
Killeen is best known for hosting Big Brother Australia and is expected to provide the third season with a different tone to ensure its success in 2026.
She recently expressed her excitement for the show, commenting, “Hosting The Traitors is a joyful milestone in my career. In the magical South Island of New Zealand, we’ve created a series that not only embraces the much-loved Traitors format but also adds a pinch of soap opera and a drizzle of pantomime to create a unique and delicious series.”
The Production
Filming reportedly started on The Traitors Australia (All-Stars) in September 2025, and production reportedly wrapped in October 2025.
Unlike seasons one and two, which took place in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, the third season was filmed at Castle Claremont near Timaru in New Zealand.
