Who Will Receive the Outstanding Career Achievement Award?
The HMMA Awards has announced Bernie Taupin, one of the most successful lyricists in the music industry, will be the proud recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Career Achievement Award in 2024.
Taupin has had a long and successful career as a songwriter, famously collaborating with Sir Elton John, and he will pick up the award at the ceremony on November 20, 2024.
Taupin co-wrote many of Elton John’s biggest hits, including “Tiny Dancer,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” “Your Song, “Crocodile Rock, and “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting,” and many more.
In addition to penning songs with Elton John, Taupin has written chart-topping hits for various artists, including Starship’s “We Built This City” and Heart’s “These Dreams”. Also, he co-wrote his most recent hit, “Never Too Late” with Elton John, Andrew Watt, and Brandi Carlile.
