Fallout is the hit Amazon Prime Video post-apocalyptic drama series, based on the video game of the same name from Leonard Boyarsky and Tim Cain.
The series explores the aftermath of the Great War of 2077, depicting a society ravaged by nuclear devastation.
Following its premiere in April 2024, the show received many glowing reviews from top TV critics and audiences, earning praise for its performances, powerful visuals, and loyalty to the source material.
Fallout also received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2025, which included Outstanding Lead Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
As a result, it was renewed for a second season, and the first episode was scheduled to arrive on Amazon Prime on December 17, 2025, in over 240 countries and territories. The remaining episodes are scheduled for release each week from February 4, 2026.
The main and recurring cast will return for the second season, and various recognizable actors have recently joined the cast.
In May 2025, the streaming giant announced that the show had been renewed for a third season.

According to Amazon, the second season will “pick up in the aftermath of season one’s epic finale.”

Kyle MacLachlan also stated he finished filming his scenes for the second season of Fallout in April 2025, and production reportedly wrapped in May 2025.
