The much-loved reality competition show follows 12 drag queens competing to be named Canada’s Next Drag Superstar and take home a huge prize fund of $100,000.
After five fantastic seasons on Crave, a sixth installment is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, November 20, 2025, providing viewers with more stunning fashion, entertainment, and hilarious moments.
Also, Canada’s Drag Race fans will be thrilled to know Crave recently renewed the hit series for a seventh season. However, you will need to wait patiently for an official release date to be announced.
The Judges
Brooke Lynne Hytes, who was runner-up in season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will return as the host and head judge of Canada’s Drag Race. As a former contestant, she has become known for delivering constructive criticism with considerable warmth and empathy.
There will, however, be some noticeable differences to this year’s judging panel, as Brad Goreski didn’t return for season six.
Many fans will breathe a sigh of relief that Traci Melchor will rejoin Brooke Lynne Hytes as a permanent judge. Also, the following resident guest judges will rotate on the panel every week:
- Carson Kressley – A style and fashion expert
- Sarain Fox – A TV host, dancer, and choreographer
- Hollywood Jade – A TV personality and renowned choreographer
Trevor Boris, the showrunner of Canada’s Drag Race, recently commented, “While we’ll miss Brad’s passion for drag and fashion, and the joy he brought, we are thrilled to have special resident guest judges, Carson, Hollywood, and Sarain, who will rotate through on the panel. They are beloved members of the Drag Race family, and each brings a unique perspective alongside Brooke Lynn and Traci.”
