Australian Survivor originally broadcast on the Nine Network in 2002, with a second celebrity series airing in 2006 before the show was rested due to low ratings.
After ten years away from TV screens, Network 10 revived the adventure reality competition series in 2016, featuring a brand-new host, a fresh format, more castaways, and a bigger prize fund.
It is now one of the most popular reality TV shows in the country, and Australian Survivor: Redemption will mark its 14th season.
Offering a fresh twist and new and returning castaways, it promises an exciting, drama-filled season you will not want to miss.
Fortunately, you won’t need to wait too long to watch it, as Australian Survivor: Redemption will return in late January or early February 2026. However, Network 10 has yet to announce an official release date.
The New Theme
Like past versions of Australian Survivor, the upcoming season will provide a fresh theme to keep the show action-packed and exciting.
This season’s twist will focus on the theme of “Redemption,” as each castaway will enter the competition with either a point to prove or a wrong to right.
The New Host
David Genat, a three-time contestant and the winner of Australian Survivor: All Stars, will host Australian Survivor: Redemption. He will replace long-serving host Jonathan LaPaglia.
The Contestants
Twenty-four castaways will enter Australian Survivor: Redemption with the aim of securing the sought-after title of Sole Survivor.
Also, it will feature a mix of new and returning players to provide fans with the most competitive season yet.
The Returning Players
Many well-known Australian Survivor players will return for a third attempt at the title in 2026.
Brooke Jowett is one of three third-timers appearing in Australian Survivor: Redemption and is well-regarded for her physical strength and determination in various challenges.
The fitness professional appeared in season one before returning in the fifth season’s all-star version alongside new host David Genat.
Brooke recently expressed excitement for her return on Instagram, writing, “Back where it all began. 10 years later, third time around, and with a much bigger reason to win. She’s back, baby! LET’S GO.”
Harry Hills, often referred to as Dirty Harry, is back for a third time and will have his sights set on the crown.
After he made it to day 49 in Season 4, he missed out on the final tribal council and returned the following season in Champions Vs Contenders, losing to David Genat. As a result, he is likely to return to the show with a fire in his belly to come out on top.
Simon Mee is another third-time castaway, as he previously competed in Brains V Brawn and Heroes V Villains.
He recently wrote on Instagram, “Every ending has a new beginning. The final chapter in the trilogy… REDEMPTION.”
Season 9’s Mark Warnock will also return after making it to the final three in Titans V Rebels and will be eager to become Sole Survivor in the upcoming season.
